MAT Feb 2014 Notification

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by All India Management Association is the single standardized test for admission into various MBA and Management courses throughout the nation and is accepted by many international Institutes as well. MBA specializations include Finance, Consultancy, Marketing, Banking, HR, Information Technology and Telecommunications. Used by 600+ Business Schools, the MAT is recognized by Government of India as a National Test for admission into Management courses. MAT is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) 4 times a year in February, May, September and December and is available in Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test formats. MAT is held in 50 test centers in India and 1 center each in Dubai and Singapore. 

Eligibility criteria
Eligibility to attempt the MAT examination is Bachelors Degree in any field/subject (final year students are also eligible). Although there is no minimum percentage requirement for MAT various Management Institutes/Business Schools may have percentage requirements respectively.  

How to apply
There are 3 ways to apply:
Register online at the official All India Management Association (AIMA) website and pay the Rs. 1200/- fees through debit card or credit card 
OR
Obtain a crossed Demand Draft from any Bank payable at Delhi for fees amount Rs. 1200/- in favor of 'All India Management Association' then register online at the official All India Management Association (AIMA) website with Demand Draft details
OR
Attain registration form from listed branches of AIMA Study Centers/Office and submit cash payment of Rs. 1200/- for fees.  

Paper PatternThe MAT exam is an objective type exam with a total of 200 multiple choice questions divided across 5 categories: Language Comprehension (40 questions), Mathematical Skills (40 questions), Data Analysis and Sufficiency (40 questions), Intelligence and Critical Reasoning (40 questions) and Indian and Global Environment (40 questions).

**If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 02nd Feb 2014 itself.

The Paper-Based Test will take place only on one day i.e., 02nd Feb 2014 at one time slot i.e., 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., whereas the Computer Based Test will take place from 08th Feb 2014 onwards in different time slots.

Test Centre City list is provided in the bulletin. Test Venues for Paper-Based Test and Computer Based Test are different.

If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is limited and can be accommodated in a single day; the test will be completed on 02nd Feb 2014 itself.

How to apply

Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to apply

Obtain form with MAT bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- (Rs one thousand two hundred only) from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, listed Study Centres of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi; or

MAT Registration Form: All forms received at AIMA will be scanned/validated within 3 days and the form numbers of such received forms will be available on website link www.aima-ind.org/mat_receipt.aspx

Further, your form will be scrutinized and if found in order, it will be provisionally registered

MAT registration form received later than the due date is liable to be rejected

Neither any correspondence in this regard will be entertained nor will the fee be refunded

Admit Card: All provisionally registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based Test can download their Admit Card from AIMA website link http://apps.aima.in/matadmitcard.aspx by 25th Jan 2014 (Saturday).

Specific admit card will be generated both for the candidates opted for the paper based test and for the computer based test

Admit card would be having candidate name, form number, roll number, test date, test time and test venue address

Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them in the case of computer based test

Candidates applied for Computer Based Test and who have been permitted to appear for the Computer Based Test; have to down load the Admit Card 7 days before the Paper Based Test date  from AIMA website. Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Date and Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the date and time slot for 4-5 days; will be automatically allotted date and time slot by the system. No request for change of date and time slot can be entertained.
